Dear Potential Task Force Member,
When was the last
time you had an opportunity to impact
a generation? It may sound impossible,
but that is the vision of the Biola
University Studio Task Force. This
unusual organization brings together
college students majoring in radio,
television, film and journalism
with Christian professionals in
the entertainment industry. Our
goal is to teach, advise, mentor,
and help fund a new generation of
Christians who want to make a difference
through media.
A
Japanese proverb says: "You
never really learn anything until
you teach it to someone else."
We take that to heart with the Studio
Task Force, and believe that through
mentoring relationships, sponsoring
conferences, networking, and building
bridges, we become better professionals
through giving back to students.
Because
of your experience and concern for
the industry, we would like you
to consider becoming part of the
Studio Task Force. We meet regularly
throughout the year, bringing together
some of the most talented people
in Hollywood. Through casual social
events, film screenings, networking,
and dinner meetings, you can meet
with other Christians in the industry
and discuss your dreams and goals
with like-minded professionals.
However,
if you can't be part of the Task
Force directly, we would invite
you to stand with us in prayer and
financial support. Through helping
the Biola Film/Television/Radio
department acquire new equipment,
sponsoring the "Biola Media
Conferences", and many other
projects, we're training a new generation
to use media tools in creative and
innovative ways.
The
Biola University Studio Task Force
is growing, and its influence is
being felt across the United States.
We would be honored with your participation.
If you have further questions, please
don't hesitate to contact Peggy
Rupple, our Task Force Coordinator
at (562) 906-4584 or bmc@biola.edu.
We'll look forward to hearing from
you.
Best
Wishes,
Ralph
